Want to get healthier? Want to improve your fitness?

It might surprise you that the first step doesn’t involve sweating or watching it what you eat… the most important first step is simply thinking. Thinking about why you want to improve your fitness. Without understanding your Why, it can be hard to focus on the What, and maintain the How.

Getting fitter and healthier sometimes takes true grit.

It’s not all going to be wine and Cheezels. There will be times when you are tired, times you don’t feel like training, and times you’ll want to tell me to stick it (that’s OK, I can take it).

To do all this, you need to get clear on your reason why you want to get healthier. What is your motivation? This is what we will call on to help you through the hard moments, and it’s what we will use to mark and celebrate your achievements.

What are the pay-offs of you having a stronger, fitter body? What are the consequences of staying at the same level of fitness and health, or worse, go further down that slippery slide?

Have you been overweight for a long time and you just want to fit into a smaller clothing size, or look great in the clothes you have?

Do you have a big event coming up, like a special birthday celebration, a friend’s wedding or even a school reunion that you want to walk into feeling like the best version of yourself?

Maybe you have a health concern, like diabetes, or high cholesterol, and you want to be around to see a lot more birthdays.

Maybe you want to set a better example for your kids and get your whole family into a healthier routine.

Understanding and wanting the benefits of fitness is the best way to motivate yourself to start and maintain a regular fitness programme, no matter what your age or the shape you’re in right now.

In addition to your unique motivation, getting fitter and healthier has so many pay-offs. People who are physically fit have more energy, and are able to perform most day-to-day activities easier.

Stronger, leaner muscles mean you’ll feel more confident in stylish clothes and strong core muscles mean you’ll reduce your chances of suffering back pain. You won’t need to wear Spanx underwear either!

People who exercise regularly usually have more confidence too, because they feel good about themselves, so if you’re looking for a new job, or partner, or just trying to step up in existing relationships, that’s another bonus.

To stay off that sofa and the snacks, and to put in the work starts with a great reason. It’s a personal thing.

If you want to get fit to do stuff…..Use whatever electronic device you prefer. Text me, phone me, email me, FaceTime me, message me.

I can help you understand your Why, then guide you through every step of the way to get there.

So tell me about your Why. I’m listening.
